✿ Spring Trends ✿

Hi Maniaks,

The flowers are blooming, and so are the trends.

That's right, spring is here.

While reading this post, please remember, that just like flowers, we're all different. You may be a lily, while I may be a tulip, which is why you should take your open spin on trends, and choose the ones that make you feel and look your best.

Shorts, pastels, crop tops... We all know the drill. These are the classic spring trends that blossom every spring after a long, harsh winter. But you knew that didn't you? So what's new this spring?

Black & White

Monochrome. During spring. It's happening! It's been plastered all over magazine and runways!
Speaking of white, it's really cool (See what I did there?) for spring.

Florals

Florals are the pinnacle and acme of spring. It's one of those primes that bloom every March. Refreshen it by going for one in black and white (you'll get points for combing trends)  or one that's
 ombréd.

Stripes and Lines

These cheeky buddies have been all over the place--it's hard not to love them! Dolce & Gabanna, Misonni, Theory, Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta, Calvin Klein... they're all addicted! Now it's your turn to consume this sneaky (Psstttt... Vertical stripes make you look thinner and taller) treat.

Graphic Tees

Spring is all about being fresh-faced and all natural. It's when your skin finally rises up for a breath of air. Graphics in general are very laidback and low-maintenance. Nothing says I-Just-Threw-This-On-But-I'm-Still-On-Trend like this guy does.

Okay, I literally have no idea what the guy on the shirt is supposed to be. My closest guess is a heartbroken ninja-seal guy...
Story time...
I don't know why, but as soon as I saw this shirt, I burst into fits. Everyone in the store turned around and stared at me, thinking I'd stop laughing (but naaahhhh), and I just took that as a sign that I should get this beauty.

OOTP ( Outfit Of The Post )

Let me just say, this outfit is ridiculously comfortable. The top layers are so light and roomy!
As you can see, I do own "normal" graphic tees. Just because I'm a Maniak doesn't mean that all of my tops have weird, unclassified critters.
The floral cardigan is extremely lightweight! It's paper-thin and drapes down beautifully.
These shorts are also covered in floral prints. Yes, it is possible to mix prints. The secret is to choose two pieces of clothing with different sized patterns. It's also a good idea to have one in a bold colour ( e.g. The floral cardigan ) and another one that's a bit more muted down (e.g. The pair of shorts)

Peace Love and Chubby Sticks,

The Beauty Maniaks.
